Conservatives urge House Republicans to immediately pass the budget reconciliation bill to fully fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations, delivering the resources our agents desperately need to secure the border, enforce our immigration laws, and protect American communities.
House Republicans successfully did their jobs months ago by passing legislation to fund ICE and CBP. Senate Democrats, however, engaged in endless obstruction of this critical funding – deliberately causing the longest government shutdown in American history and playing politics with America’s national security.
Now that the Senate has finally acted, House Republicans should move swiftly this week to pass S. 2, the Secure America Act, without delay and without further modification.
