Conservatives are proud to stand with Mark Paoletta for his dedicated and brilliant service to the president, and the president’s America First agenda.
Paoletta has been a champion for constitutional conservatives for decades, currently as the general counsel at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). He has recently come under attack for unapologetically pursuing his boss’ agenda – also known as doing his job.
The attacks are, predictably, anonymous. They are also specious. As general counsel at OMB, there are few who have been more effective in advancing President Trump’s promises to the American people than Mark Paoletta.
Paoletta was a driving force in implementing the centerpiece of Trump’s agenda – funding for a wall at the southern border. Based on his legal strategy and due diligence, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals recently overturned a liberal trial court judge’s national injunction, allowing wall funding to proceed. Prior to that, the U.S. Supreme Court took the extremely rare move of issuing a stay in a separate challenge, allowing the wall funding to go forward and indicating they are likely to side with Paoletta’s arguments.
Paoletta was also integral to the confirmation of Justice Neil Gorsuch, and prior to that, of Justice Clarence Thomas. His work with and for the conservative movement is above reproach, and his unwavering dedication to the cause of justice and the law has greatly benefited our country.
Mark Paoletta knows the law and works within it zealously to implement the president’s agenda. This is the type of service any president would want and deserve.
We thank him for his steadfast work, and we are proud to call him a defender of liberty.
